It’s true. Be it bright, pastel, or earthy tones, when combined and themed well, any colour is beautiful. That’s why I started feeling restless after 2 weeks in our new apartment. White four walls, surrounding a white tiled floor.. even the rooms in an asylum would’ve looked more artistic with its cushioned-quilted-like walls.
The bare empty walls (looking more bare in a furniture-less hall, except for an ol sofa left behind by ex-tenants and our cutesy tiny TV) were screaming at me to do something.. Anything!
I couldn’t possibly paint the walls. Though I would’ve loved contrasting different bold colors-u know, like those modern artistic houses u see in magazines. The landlord might’ve killed me.. and I’m a lazy pig. So, no.. no painting. I could go on a shopping spree and cover every surface of the house with pretty decos, hanf up framed pictures, but nah.. I needed something less expensive.
Solution? Improvise!
I found a few of my old collection of calendars and postcards. I went to town, laminated the calendars, and viola! Artsy, if I may say so myself.. :P

Postcards and random photoshots made an interesting entry on my room wall. Its good to not throw old things away, eh?

This is not the end tho.. I’m currently in the look out for wooden DIY figurines. There were many around when I was much younger. Each only a buck or two. Can’t seem to find any now. Do give me a tinkle if u spot where I can get ‘em ya.
