THE PAMOL ESTATE GOLF COURSE ADVENTURE

dad came home one day and informed us the estate's decision to clear off the golf course. i was shocked, and saddened.. i grew up seeing the golf course "come to live"- pple from everywhere would drive all the way here to play on our lucious greens, and hilly tee offs.(not much of a challenge to pro golfers, but it was definitely enjoyed by many of our managers and outsiders). mum didn't say anything. she expected this i presume. There have been many changes to the estate ever since the company changed hands from Unilever to IOI...
so on the 3rd,since the golf course's CLOSED for the first time, my family and i went down to spend the whole morning walking around the course! despite the hot sun, and lovegrasses, we certainly had fun.On the fact tht they were going to fill up the lotus pond as well, mum took this opportunity to collect some lotuses to bring home. my dad and brother tried to reach out to the nearest lotuses from the edge of the pond, but their efforts were all in vain.(how on earth do you expect to grab hold of lotuses by not getting your shoes soiled?!) good thing a young caddy(barely 12yrs old!)..jobless.. was around.. After agreeing to help, he simply waddled into the pond full clothed, right up to the waist deep! COURAGEOUS, if u ask me.. for those who has never been close to a lotus pond- it actually stinks.. and u can never see wat's underneath the pond due to the lotus roots and the wide, round lotus leaves. brave boy.. brave.too bad i didn't catch him in action on camera.. too fascinated.
